Fall Springs Sunroom

Converted this back porch to a sun room! Removed the existing ceiling, and re-built one of the brick knee walls. Installed new electrical circuit for the new mini-split HVAC system mounted in the ceiling of the sun room. Installed receptacle and CAT V cable for TV location. Installed new high output tape LED lighting, 4″ LED recess lighting, and new MInka Aire ceiling fan. Installed #1 1″ x 6″ tongue and groove pine ceiling, stained with high gloss polyurethane. Converted one of the columns to two half columns and re-installed each next to the brick on each side of the sun room. Installed new Simonton Prism Platinum twin casement windows with transoms with Low-E galss with argon gas, and new Therma-Tru full view 8′ entry doors with transoms with Low-E glass and argon gas. Installed new trim around the interior of the windows, doors, knee walls, and columns. Applied 3/8″ aggregate over the existing washed rock concrete floor, stamped with slate stamp, stained and sealed new floor. Used a brick style stamp for the steps going into the house from the sun room. Painted the brick using Sherwin-Williams Loxon primer and Super Paint, and painted the trim with Sherwin-Williams Pro-Classic trim paint. On the exterior we installed Artisan Hardi Plank siding matching the existing siding on the home. Applied Sherwin-Williams exterior Super Paint to the siding and trim. Had to clean out the existing french drains and install a new french drain by the side entrance/exit of the sun room.
